North Carolina downloader’s tax?

downloadiconJust looking for an update regarding gadgets when I saw this news at CrunchGear. You read it right! North Carolina will impose its own tax download. Yes, when you buy music from a music site you will get taxed, as well as when you download a movie, TV seasons, games, porn clips (porn?! LOL), etc. etc. etc.

The question is, will this be a good news for the people in N.C.? Answer – NO!

But the legislators has a pretty good reason why they want to impose this, if you buy games in Best Buy you get taxed, why not tax them if they buy over the internet. Well sounds reasonable, but the concern is, with all the global crisis, massive recession we experience and people are loosing their jobs left and right… this will be another pain in our wallets heh?

I wonder if the our government will impose this here, but if they will impose digital download tax, SCREW them! Another government money will be put in their own pockets. Gheeze!

iPhone Apps: Wobble now available on iTunes!

wobble

For months now Glentwood pty ltd is trying to make it’s way for Apple’s approval for their silly apps name Wobble to be in iTunes Apps Store. Apple makes a condition by changing the word “boobs” or “booty” in its application description.

So from, “boobs” and “booty” they change it to… “(censored)” which makes it a bit… nasty, because readers will now imagine ANY parts of the body which includes, the Dude’s thing. 😛

“You can make (censored) and (censored) jiggle and bounce like real when you shake your phone.”

Here a video I found in Youtube:

Artist: Brandy

Album: Human

Song Title: Long Distance

There’s only so many songs that I can sing to pass the time.
And I’m running out of things to do to get you off my mind (oh whoa).
All I have is this picture in a frame (oh ah),
that I hold close to see your face everyday.

With you is where I’d rather be,
but we’re stuck where we are.
It’s so hard, you’re so far..
This long distance is killing me.
I wish that you are here with me,
but we’re stuck where we are
it’s so hard, you’re so far.. (so hard, you’re so far..)
This long distance is killing me.

It’s so hard, it’s so hard, where we are, where we are, you’re so far.
This long distance is killing me.
It’s so hard, it’s so hard, where we are, where we are, you’re so far
(so hard, so hard, where we are, where we are, your so far).
This long distance is killing me.

Now the minutes feel like hours
and the hours feel like days.. (whoa oh whoa)
While I’m away (way-ay)
You know right now I can’t be home (ah)
But I’m coming home soon (ah)
Coming home soon.. (ah a hah)
All I have is this picture in a frame (ah),
that I hold close to see your face everyday.

With you is where i’d rather be (where I’d rather be..),
but we’re stuck where we are (oh oh).
It’s so hard, (oh ah) you’re so far.. (oh ah)
This long distance is killing me.
I wish that you are here with me (you are here with me),
but we’re stuck where we are (oh oh)
It’s so hard, (oh ah) you’re so far.. (oh ah)

Can you hear me crying?
Ooh (oh-oh oh-oh)
Can you hear me crying? (oh-oh ah!)
Ooh (oh-oh oh-oh)
Can you hear me crying? (oh-oh ah!)
Ooh (oh-oh oh-oh)
Ooh woo whoa ah ah oh ah (oh-oh ah!)
Uh ah uh ah whoa0h ah (oh-oh oh-oh)

With you is where i’d rather be (where I’d rather be..) whoa!
(but we’re stuck where we are) oh!
(it’s so hard) So hard (your so far), so far
(this long distance is killing me) This long distance is killing me
I wish that you are here with me (you are here with me) me..
(but we’re stuck where we are) Stuck where we are! So hard! So far
This long distance is killing me

It’s so hard, it’s so hard, where we are, where we are, you’re so far.
This long distance is killing me.
It’s so hard, it’s so hard, where we are, where we are, you’re so far
(so hard, so hard, where we are, where we are, your so far).
This long distance is killing me.

Difference Between 320kbps vs. 128kbps

Last night I was syncing new album songs in my iPod when I realized that there’s only 500mb left in its memory. So to maximized my 8gb iPod I convert my songs from 320kbps to 128 AAC version.

The result? 320kbps is louder than 128kbps, there’s a bit change in its sound quality but it is not audible for untrained ears. I guess thats the features of Apple iPod, it normilize the sound quality even if you lowered its kbps. File size is decresed by about 50 to 65 percent. Some songs time length was decrese for 1 sec.

When I put the songs in a flash disk and insert it to our sound system with a usb port, you can hear a big difference.

1. Sound quality is so audible, even my 14 year old brother can hear the difference.

2. The 320kbps is louder than 128kbps

3. Bass is quite spongy

4. Some high pitch song is like in a thin can ambience.

These are some changes that I can here, but with regards to iPod there is no major difference in its quality, the only thing that you can here is its volume.
